I’m honoured to be introducing another new brand and one that has quite a story behind it. Three years ago at the age of 28, Nikki Cooper a lawyer/corporate-financier and self-proclaimed ‘fitness fanatic’ was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis; a life-long condition of the central nervous system.
While many would give in to such a diagnosis, Nikki took up battle researching all the healthy living options that might manage her symptoms.
Taking a concoction of supplements she found not only an improvement in her health but also appearance, with more vibrant skin and shining hair. All very positive, however she found herself swamped with an accumulating collection of supplements, many of which lacked appeal.
Inspired to create an alternative that provided the same benefits in a simple and attractive lifestyle product, Nikki commenced work on the development of Inner Me.
In late spring of 2012 Nikki officially launched the brand, which includes 11 supplements to boost everything from your libido to your brain power.
With the help of Models 1 fashion model Roos Van Montfort, I’ve been testing some of the beauty boosters.
I’ve personally trialled Beautify Me Vitamin Complex an all encompassing beauty supplement that enhances the vitality of skin, hair and nails. The supplements are encased in a deliciously feminine but highly practical package, featuring an innovative tray that slides out in both directions and is clearly labelled with each day of the two week supply (with capsules to be taken twice daily).
The artwork on the packaging and website conveys that of a youthful fashion conscious company, featuring prettily sketched girls in place of the usual model imagery associated with well-being brands.
And the design really is highly practical; I found it easy to remember with the aid of the labelling.
Beautify Me comprises Vitamin C, MSM, Silica and Marine Collagen. If you haven’t already heard the buzz about MSM, this has been hailed as a ‘beauty mineral’ due to the way it helps collagen, elastin, cartilage and keratin to form; basically all of the elements that make you look your glossiest.
Of course I’d recommend using any supplement for longer than a two week period, but even during this short time my nails shot up in length. Coincidence you may think, but since completing the pack my usually brittle nails have returned to their former (lack of) glory!
I gave Beautify Me rather a task, taking it during that time in the month when my skin tends to have a mini meltdown. While I still got a hormonal blemish or two, the rest of my skin looked so bright and lustrous that it really didn’t matter. My blemishes also cleared quicker than usual and were less painful.
My hair always grows fast – and sheds heavily! – and I didn’t really notice any change on this occasion.
I’m impressed with my findings, as well as all the thought that has gone into this brand – the epitome of beauty with all the brains!
Now it’s time to hand over to Roos, who has been trialling a little something for beautiful hair…
For anyone who likes to give her hair a boost, try Inner Me’s Lustrous Locks Vitamin Complex, which is made up of MSM, Vitamin C, Silica and the super antioxidant, N-Acetyl Cysteine.
Besides its cute girlie packaging, the results are noticeable within weeks.
I’d recently had some hair extensions, and it wasn’t until my hairdresser commented that my own hair had grown really fast that I realised how much it works. I’d been taking the pills religiously after my wheatgrass shot in the morning and after dinner at night.
I always look out for the hair strengthening products during my (almost monthly) health food shop visits and always end up buying something I don’t finish, because I always forget to take them. That’s why Inner Me’s packaging really works for me; you can’t forget to take one as all the pills are marked. It’s perfect for those who travel a lot, or eat out. It’s small and light so you just put it in your handbag and off you go.
The product aids in the production of collagen, which is also amazing for your skin; helping it to keep its elasticity and stave off wrinkles. I might not have any wrinkles yet, but want to try my best (by living a healthy lifestyle) to avoid getting them! All in all, this is definitely one to try.
From September Inner Me will offer memberships, sending your monthly supplies so you will never forget to buy them – such a brilliant idea!
In addition to her quality products, Nikki has also produced a great little website with some fantastic healthy living tips. Be sure to check out the range and let us know what you think.
Beautify Me and Lustrous locks each come in a 2 week supply with 28 capsules for £15.00 each
